We have 3 fundamental beliefs:

  • People without homes are hungry more than Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  • People without homes deserve to be served with dignity & without a camera in their face.

  • People without homes deserve to eat a balanced & healthy meal no matter where they live.

Since 2014, The SEQ HOPE Foundation has fed numerous homeless communities each month.  We call this simply, #FeedingFriends.  Through partnerships with local non-profit organizations and in-kind food donations from friends, we prepare healthy meals with love to show our friends wihtout homes that we acknowledge their hunger on more than just the holidays when photo-ops bring out the food and the celebrities to serve it.

in 2017, we began feeding families of 5 or more for a month.  Some of these families are displaced or transitioned into permanent housing and need money for groceries and food.  We call this, #FeedingFamilies.  With $400, we can feed a family of 5-7 for one month.  This includes two weeks of groceries and home cooked meals.

Giving back to the community we serve with the youth & adults we serve in those communities helps to bridge the socio-economic gap and build a stronger community.  Some people call this, "grassroots".  We call this touching the community one person at a time.  We welcome volunteers to help prepare and/or serve the meals; food prep takes 3-5 hours and passing out food takes 45 minutes to 1 hour.

WE ONLY ASK THAT YOU PLEASE REFRAIN FROM TAKING PICTURES OR POSTING THE ACTUAL FEEDING OF OUR FRIENDS ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

WHY DO WE ASK THIS?  We have made wonderful connections and friends who live on the streets of Los Angeles.  They are human and do not like to be patronized.  They are human and they all do not have mental illnesses, and are offended when people come and take pictures to prove their good deed.  We believe in being good for goodness sake.  We love the help from others and we appreciate our friends being fed with dignity.  Living in the moment is a cherished gift that social media seems to take away from us.  (Thank you for understanding.)
